Subgroups? or Multiple Group...

Love the product so far but I was wondering - Is there any way to create subgroups or multiple groups within a group? Or are there any plans for this functionality in a future release?

An example:
-Categories
--Sporting Goods
------Baseball
------Football
------Soccer
--Electronics
------Tvs
------DVD players

etc....

Thanks,
Rob

I really really hope that someone will answer this as i was really excited about the current offer which expires at midnight on the 31st, so much so i downloaded the trial first.

I was very impressed with it all except for exactly the issue you've raised :(

My current shop has over 1000 items and im in the market for an easier system to use than the current one but the great advantage is that it caters for sub groups http://www.sandyscooters.com/catalog/

see what i mean?

I hope there is a way to add the subgroups that im missing or it wont be practical to use the coffeecup shop much as i want to.:(:(

At this time there is no way to do sub groups. It is something we are considering for a future update but I cannot say when that maybe.

Thanks for the quick response -

Bummer......

With a large amount of items in most stores (not just a hobby store) - categorization is a necessity - not an option. Just to throw everything under one laundry list of categories is not appealing or user friendly.

I will keep my fingers crossed.

:(:(
That's a shame as I'd have bought this in a flash, I just have too many items to list in seperate groups like that, heck 2 of my current groups have over 20 subgroups alone :(

I did think at first that adding a group, within a group was going to do it but soon realised it was a no no and you can only add seperate items :-(

I agree with you - this lack of functionality really limits the usefulness of the software for me.

But I already bought it.....douhhhhhhhh!

I havent, nearly did on impulse but downloaded the trial version, didnt even bother with the payment parts as i luckily noticed quite earlyish that the lack of sub categories would be the biggest reason for not buying.

It's a real shame too because in many other respects its easier and more user friendly than my current software im using :|

When developing the software we had to pick and choose what we wanted to start with. Once our Styler application rolls out, tackling this specific feature request will be much easier.

Hello all,
i bought this program last minute and only now i realise that you cannot have sub-groups ! what a disappointment really. most online shops will have lots of lines to sell. How long before this options comes in ?

Oh does it mean we have to buy a seperate software to enable us to do this? --like a styler application?
