As a newcomer, I'd just like to say a quick hello and thank you for your helpful forums.
I am about to embark on my first site to incorporate a shopping cart.
Is it possible to include a cart created with Shopping Cart Creator Pro into a page design created in Dreamweaver CS5 and how would that be done?
Many thanks

Thank you rodgw. That appears promising and I appreciate your swift response.
Do you know if it is therefore possible to embed the cart into an existing Dreamweaver web page. That is to say one that is already formatted with header, buttons etc.?
Many thanks again,
Paul

Several people have embedded a store in a frame on an html page...but it looks as if there are problems when the client is redirected from the payment gateway back to the shop page. I was reading this in one of the forum posts just yesterday I seem to recall. Maybe someone else can pick up on this if they saw the same post...
If I were building an online store, trying to persuade people to relieve themselves of their hard earned cash by giving it to me, I wouldn't use duct tape and band-aids. But that's just me.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Would it make more sense for me to use CoffeeCup Creator in conjunction with Designer to create a self contained shopping area?
Thanks all for your input - I really appreciate the help
Is there a reason for wanting to include the cart in the Dreamweaver page?
Hi Janys - thanks for the response
It's an existing and established website I designed some time ago. In an ideal world, I would like the cart to slot into that familiar interface. Guessing not possible to do this and have a reliable shopping cart setup??

Hi Paul...ok...I'm with you now. No...not a terribly good idea to slot the cart inside, but you can keep the home page of the original site and get the store to point to that. Then it would be a case of getting the same "look and feel" for the shop using the SC Designer. Lots of us have done this kind of thing, myself included. Just takes a little patience and careful observation of the set up in the original site.
Ah - I see. That makes sense. Thanks.
I've not had a chance to fully explore what Designer can do - that's something I'll have to look in to.
Thank you once more
