Yes Rolly, that would help a lot. Just to give a small visual of the product with different color backgrounds
ya know?
Can you give me the run down on how to do it?

Hi there, total newbie here but I learn fast :)

Also an EBay seller for 7 years and don't want to be totally dependent on them anymore. I am wanting to create a pretty extensive website with a lot of product categories / sub-categories.Downloaded trial versions of cart creator, cart designer and site designer. Looks like i will most likely get the Super Pack.

Could you please tell me how to add the shopping cart that I created into a website that I created in Visual site designer?

Thanks in advance...Ara.

Hi Ara,
I would Create your shop with SCDP first then make your VSD site look like your shop unless you can find a theme that's available for both VSD and SCDP.:)

Ara – You don't add the cart into your VSD site. But you can link them to each other. As Eric said; the easiest way to make them appear 'seamless' is to use a theme designed for both programs. Then you can put links, buttons... to the cart and you'll have a Home button/link in the cart to go back to the site. You can also create other links to specific pages/items in your VSD site.

If you want to create your own design, I would start with the cart first, then match the look in VSD. I just finished a site/cart that started with the site. It took a lot of trial and error on my part to get the shop looking similar to the site. It's way easier to change/adjust things in VSD.

Don't be afraid to experiment – whatever you want to do, Eric will figure it out for you!

Thanks for the replies and please be patient with me. This may sound really stupid :)

I installed shopping cart designer pro. but I cant seem to be able to do anything in it. Say I click on a picture to change it but I cant figure out how to do it. I right click on a certain object but cant do anything to change it, can't even change the text. Any ideas?

In the designer click on the element that you want to change then look at the styling tabs on the right hand side. You'll have Background, Border, font , and advanced. These are all the setting for each element. Dive in and start messing with them on a test shop to see how each setting affects the outcome of your page.:)

Hi Ara, I think you need to install the Shopping Cart Creator first, and create the shop, and then use the Shopping Card Designer.

Something completely different; I see that you have a Turkish name. If you live in Turkey, would you please be so kind and pop over to the Break Room and read my question for Turkish members, http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/the-bre … post173776

It would be much appreciated, as I sometimes do sites when in Turkey, and for Turks.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Ara - Just to make sure you're all clear (as there had been some confusion in the past), SCD (Designer) is for making your shop pretty, and SCC (Creator) is for adding/managing your content of the shop.
