Being able to add custom text to the image placeholders had been on our list for while, when several of you asked about this as well we decided to skip two nights and get it in. And while we were at it, we also added the ability to change text color, size and the image background color. This will make it easier to convey a specific meaning of message, we hope you like it.
An excellent layout design must have excellent typography. That’s why we added additional font controls and updated the interface. Choose from 100s of fonts, and control every detail with hot new controls like font weight, decoration, transformation, word spacing, indentation and more. We did a first iteration of the UI to reduce scrolling—go ahead and use the feedback function in the app (see section below) to let us know how you feel about it!
The template pack got an upgrade too!
Some of you asked what we have been using Layout Maker for. For us it has been especially wild but here’s a good example: the Layout Maker product page itself. Go ahead, look at the prototype design and the production page and understand our process of crafting creative content, and transforming it into responsive layout designs (fast)!
It’s also a really nice design with some cool responsive techniques, so we added it to your template collection for free. Try it out, you might pick up a thing or two...
