Photo uploading sideways into...

Some photos that are portrait view are ending up on their side (rotated into landscape view) when I load them into the Resources folder of my site. Some that are portrait view are loading correctly. This happened a long time ago and I don't remember what I did about it. The meta data in my computer shows the photo is correct, it shows the width smaller than the height.
But when I drag it over to Resources, or load it by "adding a file" and selevting it from my computer, it lands it in there sideways. And I can't find any way to rotate it using the style pane.

I have Windows 10 and Version 5.1 build 3567 of Site Designer and again, some load into Resources correctly and some don't.

Every picture element seems to adapt to the photo put into them. They show up on the site page in the orientation they are in the Resources file. So I guess I'm looking for advice on how to get the picture not to flip when I load it into Resources, not what to do on the page editor (styles pane) once it's in the picture element. Thanks

Hey Wayan!
Now that I selected it and saw what you were looking for (the file dimensions in the bottom left), I see that Resources thinks it's a landscape. But it switched it to that when I got it from the computer! If I showed you the same screenshot with propeties showing from my computer you'd see that it IS a portrait pic!

So I opened the pic in photoshop and rotated it to 180 and then 180 again and saved it and now it's loading into Resources correctly (see the photo named IMG_5092_noon (Medium)).

I have this photoshop work-around, which is unnecessarily time consuming, but I just wonder what the glitch is that is causing some pics to load sideways into Resources and not others.

HaHa, I was looking for the file sizes yes but before you rotated it in Photoshop

I can't replicate that peculiar anomaly, so a bit flummoxed

Well thanks anyway. You know, it could be something about my phone camera, my computer, or Site Designer. There's no telling.
At least I do have a workaround for when it happens.

Until next time, my friend!

Hi, Do you take pictures with a cellphone camera? I have seen this behaviour in photos taken with a cellphone held in landscape orientation if they have been transferred directly from the camera to SD. I haven't experienced it myself, but I think the solution is to open the photo in some image editing software, like Photoshop, and save it before it is added to SD. Obviously, you found it out yourself.
Ha en riktig god dag!
